PhET has a new Logo, so what does that mean?

Is PhET still free to use? Yes, but you can always make donations or encourage others. https://donatenow.networkforgood.org/1437859

Have you been following our progress on creating next-generation PhET sims? These new simulations update our designs to work with touch or mouse interaction, and they are built on a new HTML5 code base, meaning that they run seamlessly on all of today’s classroom technologies from PCs, to tablets (iPads or Android-based), to Chromebooks. Hats off to our amazing software development team for their work to push the boundaries of HTML5 technology. To access the new sims, visit http://phet.colorado.edu/en/simulations/category/html.

Is PhET still “research-based? A teacher survey of over 2,000 teachers in the US, 63% said that PhET simulations made their teaching more effective and 23% said much more effective. We are holding a summit to identify what features the new Html5 sims need to help both groups. Also, PhET researchers continue to work and publish findings for sim design and best practices.
