Senioritis. Seniors come down with it. Underclassmen claim it's contagious. Teachers do not appear to be exempt. Let's face it: Summer is coming and we all know it. We all want it. We are all ready for it! However, the calendar declares it is not here yet. What do you do when your students are unmotivated? What do you do when the administration tells you your class will be cut short for another assembly? What do you do when much of your class is missing for a field trip, athletics, or another end of year activity? What do you do when you have three important chapters left while all these events are taking place? How do you stay enthusiastic when all you want to do is throw in the towel, too?
