Join Bob Worley and others interested in microscale chemistry in July for a global chemical education symposium that will be held virtually.
ScIC2 "Science is Cool" is a FREE Virtual unconference that will be offered Thursday May 21, 2020! (Professional Development credit is available for purchase through Fresno Pacific University.)
We are hoping to have a varied program with multiple options for those who are interested in presenting. From a 10 minute quick idea that worked well in the classroom to 40 minutes of how you reformed a class, there will be something for everyone.
The conference focus is on building community. If you have an example of how you were able to bring people together please consider presenting and sharing your work. Our ultimate goal is that everyone leaves the conference feeling they are part of a bigger community of Chemistry Educators and ready to build community in the classroom and out.
The 26th Biennial Conference on Chemical Education, BCCE 2020, will be held on the campus of Oregon State University, Corvallis, Oregon USA July 18-23, 2020. We invite our chemistry education and science education colleagues at the pre-college level (K-12) and college level to submit abstracts of their work for presentations in the symposia sessions, the general papers sessions, or the poster sessions.
The annual STANYS (Science Teachers Association of New York State) coming up in November promises to grow your understanding of everything NGSS chemistry related from sessions on phenomena, to growing your understanding of Science and Engineering Practices, to incorporating instruction by means of Cross-Cutting Concepts, to storylines and assessment.
Do you have a unique way that you partner with your students, other faculty, universities, businesses, local high schools, surrounding community, etc. to achieve student success? Are you using innovative approaches inside and/or outside of the classroom? We want you to come share your ideas about what you are doing and your successes! And high school chemistry faculty are welcome and registration for high school chemistry faculty is FREE!
ChemEd 2019 will take place July 21 through July 25, 2019. ChemEd X will be there! Will you?
