The primo Chemistry Education conference in North America returns to Canada—in person—this summer. From July 23 – 27, ChemEd 2023 will be hosted by the University of Guelph. High School Chemistry teachers and Introductory Chemistry instructors from across North America—and beyond—will attend sessions and workshops. Teachers will spend time with teachers exchanging ideas and honing their craft in an engaging, fun atmosphere. We expect hundreds of delegates, eager to interact face-to-face.

ChemEd 2023 will be the 50th anniversary for ChemEd and be hosted by the University of Guelph, returning to Canada where it began in 1973.
Early Bird Registration is $420 CAD - at today's rate (3/10/2023) that is about $309.02 US dollars.The Early Bird deadline is May 5th! There will be both on-campus and off-campus housing available. Registration does not cover accommodation. Check out accommodation options.

- Monday, July 24 plenary presentation: Steve Spangler! His presentation will include components commemorating the work of Irwin Talesnick.
- Tuesday, July 25 - ChemEd tradition of the Reg Friesen lecture. 2023 Reg Friesen lecturer: Yvonne Clifford! Yvonne’s presentation will discuss “The Evolution of a Chemistry Teacher”.
- Wednesday, July 26 plenary presentation: Joe Schwarcz! His presentation will include topics such as critical thinking in the sciences.
