Hello,
My name is Pam Marshall at the West campus of Arizona State University. We have received NSF funding award #1606903 to develop curriculum to assist colleagues who wish to develop Course Based Undergraduate Research Experiences (CUREs). As the culminating experience of that grant, we will be putting on a workshop this summer in the last weekend of May to disseminate our findings as well as help colleagues who may be interested in developing their own CUREs. I am writing to ask if you would please share our workshop information with your STEM faculty.
The flier is attached and the website is https://sites.google.com/asu.edu/icure-workshop/home
The grant has money to support both travel to West campus as well as room and lodging for the workshop and the workshop itself is free. There is no obligation after attending the workshop to have to develop a CURE and colleagues can attend even if they have little to no experience with CUREs. Faculty from all STEM disciplines are welcome.
Please contact me for any concerns or questions. And if you happen to have any colleagues at other institutions who may be interested, and would like to apply, we are recruiting nation-wide. Thank you for any help you can give.
Best, PAM
