I am a precollege instructor in Portage, MI teaching chemistry, organic chemistry, computer applications, and web design. I previously taught high school in Indianapolis and was an adjunct instructor at IUPUI. I attended graduate school at Indiana University and earned 2 Master's degrees: MS Organic Chemistry (2011) and MAT Chemistry (2012). I have been a member of the ACS, AACT, HASTI, MSTA, and NSTA. For the last two years, the district I worked for has been tirelessly working toward curriculum changes that would better line up with the new state science standards. The challenge has been to do such a task while minimizing the impact on the IB curriculum and offerings.
