The FAQ provides information useful in helping you use ChemEd X. If you are unable to find the help you are looking for, please feel free to use the contact form.

LOGGING INTO YOUR ACCOUNT

Logging into our new site requires use of your USER NAME (not email). If you do not recall your USER NAME, please reach out using the contact form link above.

REGISTER FOR AN ACCOUNT

Notification (June 2026): The 'Sign Up' feature is currently disabled.

New users wishing to sign up for a ChemEd X account can reach out via the contact form link above. When doing so, please provide the following information:

1) Your school email address

2) Your school affiliation

3) If you would like to access 'teacher content' (i.e., answer keys) you need a verified account: to verify your account please also provide a website link indicating your role at your school

SUBMITTING A MANUSCRIPT

We welcome submissions from any chemistry instructor. For help with submitting a manuscript, you should read the Contribute page and Contribution Guidelines. Additional details can also be found in the Manuscript Template (Word version or Google Doc version).

UPDATING YOUR PROFILE AND MANAGING SUBSCRIPTIONS

1. First, you will log in to your ChemEd X account. Reminder: Our new website requires the use of your USER NAME to log in, not your email address. On the login page, you will be given the option to reset your password if you have forgotten it.

2. Once logged in, you will see your User Name on your login page.

3. If you click the "Edit" tab, you will see several categories that you can use to update your account and profile.

If you would like to contribute content to ChemEd X, we ask that all contributors have a headshot picture of themself and their institutional affiliation added to their account profile. These fields can be found under "Member profile". There you can also provide a brief bio.

4. Back on your login page, the "Newsletters" tab allows you to view your subscription status and opt-in or opt-out of receiving our monthly newsletter.

5. From the person icon in the upper right of all pages, you can "Sign out" of your account.
