Drawing a Sample into the Syringe

A gas chromatograph requires only a small amount of sample for analysis.

Gently pull back the plunger and draw ~2 microliters of air into the syringe. Place the tip of the syringe needle into the sample solution. Gently pull back the plunger and draw ~2 microliters of solution into the syringe. Remove the needle from the solution and draw another ~2 microliters of air into the syringe.
