Types of Conceptual Questions (CQs): Particulate Questions
A chemical situation is represented on the atomic or molecular (particulate) level using circles or spheres of different sizes or colors, as necessary, to represent the particles.
Example of Particulate Question
The following drawing shows a chemical change. The symbol represents one atom of a certain type, the symbol represents a single atom of another type. If the symbols for atoms touch, they are part of a single molecule. The reaction represented by these symbols may violate one of the ideas of Dalton's atomic theory. Which one?
