Frequency Sweep - Round Chladni Plate

Examples of unique nodal patterns on a round Chladni plate at resonant frequencies between 289 Hz and 994 Hz are shown.

Discussion

As was the case with a square Chladni plate, and for the same reason, there is no simple relationship between the driving frequency and the number of nodal regions. As with a square plate, as the driving frequency increases, the number of rings and, in some cases, the complexity of ring patterns increases.
