I have been working on a data collection and analysis research project for over a year now and I had to learn to properly collect and analyze a lot of data. In this blog submission, I will introduce a few basic techniques that can be used to compare data using Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.

In this article, I would like to introduce a procedure which involves the removal of copper from a solution through a process known as biosorption. I covered something similar in a previous ChemEd X blog¹, but in this article I will be running the experiment by using a different analytical method.

I came across an interesting Journal of Chemical Education¹ article that explains how it is possible to crosslink sodium alginate, leading to the formation of calcium alginate beads.

I’ve always been fascinated by advanced polymeric materials; it’s amazing how materials that are generally considered “plastics” have such stunning properties. I recently watched a couple of movies about Batman and it came out that some of his devices and protections are made of advanced polymers. In particular, the suit is almost entirely made of Kevlar.

As I mentioned in a previous post, Introduction to the Concept of Antioxidant - A Demo, chitosan is able to counteract oxidation and it also features antimicrobial properties.
