Our hope is that you will leave with a better understanding of our mission for ChemEd X and you will be able to make better use of the site. If contributing content for publication is one of your goals, you will have a better understanding of that process.

50 Modeling Workshops in high school and middle school sciences will be offered this summer, in many states. Most workshops are two or three weeks long. CEUs; optional graduate credit, stipends at grant-funded sites. Modeling Instruction is research-informed.

I am looking forward to being among my fellow teachers discussing labs, demonstrations, assessments, teaching methods, and so much more! Will you be there? An outline for the Halloween Chemistry Show Demonstration at Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame IN, is presented. Organized by Saint Mary’s Affiliate of the American Chemical Society (SMAACS) student club, this show has become an annual event with an average attendance of over 200 people. The club’s main goal is to generate interest in the sciences among children; while stimulating a pursuit for continued education and hopefully future careers in STEM fields. The Halloween Chemistry Show aspires to that goal by providing an interactive experience for all children in attendance while presenting thought-provoking demonstrations for the entire audience.
