Difference 1: In the first change in our example, all of the trees became identical. Difference 2: In the second change in our example, the trees became arranged in a regular array of rows and columns. These differences between a mixture and a pure crystalline solid illustrate that a crystalline solid is a solid composed of a unit that repeats continuously and in a regular pattern until the boundary of the solid is reached. |
