Voiceover
Equal amounts of glucose oxidase are added to three beakers. Equal amounts of glucose, 2-deoxyglucose, and maltose are added to the beakers. Glucose oxidase is more reactive towards glucose than 2-deoxyglucose. Glucose oxidase has a high affinity for glucose, and any change in structure effects the reaction rate. There is no color change in the beaker containing maltose. Maltose is not a substrate for glucose oxidase.
