Voiceover
A cylinder contains two colorless, immiscible layers. The top layer is toluene containing the colorless form of Rhodamine B dye. The bottom layer is saturated aqueous ammonium sulfate. Upon shaking, a red color is produced in the emulsion layer. As the emulsion breaks up the red color disappears. At the interface, the red quinonemethide is produced.
Discussion
On shaking, the resulting tiny water droplets are all surrounded by the red form of the dye.
