Adding yellow potassium chromate to colorless lead(II) nitrate produces a yellow precipitate.
Solution A: 0.2 M potassium chromate (yellow)
Solution B: 0.2 M lead(II) nitrate (colorless)
Precipitate: (yellow)
Pb(NO3)2(aq) + K2CrO4(aq) --> PbCrO4(s) + 2 KNO3(aq)
